Golf Course Gandhinagar Introduction;

Drivers Delight
From an elevated Tee near the Academy entrance the fairway is wide open with a fairway bunker on the left edge of the driving range. The second shot is a challenge to the average golfer with a couple of trees looming large in front and a water body ahead of it. It requires judicious planning and reasonable accuracy since on the rear of the green in the out of bound area.

Hydrophobia
The fairway expands in furtherance to the narrow tunnel through which the first salvo has to be fired. A fairway bunker and the rows of trees on either side serve a deterrent to the long hitters. Once again the second shot demands accuracy and safety from the large water body right in front of the green. There is an escape bunker behind the green for the flat shots.

Camels Hump
The vast expanse of the fairway and the course gives a grand view to the golfer from an elevated Tee. The immediate water body in front of the Tee adds to the beauty of the course. The slicers need to command control on the drive as also the second shot over the second water body. The hump in the center of the fairway gives an added roll to the drive.

Slicers Hell
The railway track on the right of the out of bound area is the slicer's doom. A straight drive along the wall will lead to the approach shot for the green located near the start point of the jogging track. A good approach shot could set up a birdie but a hook will lead straight into the water.

Eagles Nest
The green is located amidst a clump of trees having the eagle's nest and hence will pose a problem for a hole-in-one. A high trajectory shot will ensure a par but a low shot may cross over the green to the out of bound area. There is a bunker at the back of the green to trap the ball to help the low trajectory shots.

Driving Range
Cambay Golf provides a professional driving range with a double storeyed building comprising of 15 natural and 15 artificial turf stations to practice. It will also have 240 m X 40 m fairway practice bunkers and practice putting greens.

Virtual Golf (P3ProSwing)
The Cambay Golf introduces for the first time in Gujarat, Virtual Golf, undoubtedly, one of the more innovative, instructional, and downright entertaining game-improvement systems. The Golf Simulator enables the player play golf in a simulated environment. The computer generated image of the golf course is projected onto a life size 8 ft x 10 ft screen. The player can simply play the shot (with his own golf clubs and real golf balls) and the sensors pick up the data and show the actual ball flight

Golf Pro Shop
The pro shop at the Cambay Golf stocks a whole range of golf equipment, clothes and accessories, which will satisfy even a pro.

The Cambay pro shop is located in the clubhouse. The interiors of the pro shop are different from that of an ordinary pro shop with well designed furniture and display units. Special care has been taken to display pictures, mirrors and other fixtures. Shop is well stocked with golf equipment, accessories and other merchandise. The idea being “you name it and it is available ", all under one roof. All makes and models of golf equipment are available -for men, ladies and juniors.

Golf equipment includes golf sets, putters, woods, Cambay logo are also available. Demo clubs for most makes are available so that one may try them at the academy before purchasing a set. Putters can be tried out in the shop itself on the putting mat. The staff is also trained to help you make the right choice.

On the other side, there is a wide range of Cambay Logo T-shirts, Caps, shoes (Indian and imported), logo gift items etc. to make shopping more fun. Efforts are on bringing in other leading international brands. The golf club has a dress code and if one happens to arrive at the club in improper golf attire, the same can be purchased from the shop. Rental shoes and rental sets are available at a nominal cost.
So walk in wearing casuals and walk out in golf attire.

Golf Club House

After the game of golf and dropped the final putt, you would need to come in and savor the great indoors.

The Club House is designed by the well-known architect Hiren Gandhi; the lush and warm interiors create the perfect setting to complement a great game of golf.

An exclusive lounge, Audio Visual Room, Golf Library and lockers rooms, a well-stocked one-stop pro shop, a Juice bar and restaurant.

Club House Terrace
The terrace of the clubhouse, overlooking the practice area and the golf course water body with fountains offers additional space for seating and a magnificent view of the course. Although buffets are offered on every weekend and typical days of tournament.

CAMBAY GOLF ACADEMY
The Golf Academy has a floodlit 30 stations double story driving range where you can choose to practice either from a state of the art artificial turf mat or from natural turf. The facility includes four target greens, a 50-yard pitching area with green side bunkers, 100-yard target green with green side bunkers, 150 yard target green with green side bunkers and 200 yard target green with green side bunker, a chipping green with a practice bunker and a large sized putting green just near club house. The entire concept is that of creating a practice facility that gives the golfer an opportunity to practice any kind of shot that he may encounter on the course.
